Case studies factory - I am collecting some horror stories in corporate life and IT...
The typical Executive IT strategy committee where 10' are spent on an infrastructure project that no business lines want, especially during the current tough budget period - approval was given since the project sponsor is the company CIO (not present during the meeting), for above 10M USD ; a 2nd project was discussed during the same meeting. Discussion took 45' and decision was to review the budget for project study from 320t USD to 280USD (why this figure? only because the meeting manager who is head of finance, put it up!).
